Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Spring 2019 Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 93 Points
This is the third out of ten planned releases of Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond, and comes from 13-year-old Bourbon distilled during the fall season (July 1-December 31) of 2005. The nose has good spices balanced nicely by charred oak, pipe tobacco, leather, honey, and a touch of cocoa beans. The taste is spicy with cinnamon, black pepper, and a hint of chili powder along with a touch of honey that turns up in the background and gets stronger as the spices fade. There’s a hint of chocolate-covered cherries that develops late and lingers through the finish, too. Very nice! (March, 2019)
