Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Fall 2019 Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 94 Points
This release is the oldest so far in the Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond series at 15 years. It was distilled in the fall distilling season (July 1-December 31) of 2004 at Heaven Hill’s Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. The nose has soft spices, charred oak, tobacco leaves, old leather, and a hint of molasses cookies. The taste is thick, chewy, and robust with good spicy touches of cinnamon and black pepper along with honey, pipe tobacco, molasses cookies, and vanilla. The finish is very long with spices that last and last, along with hints of honey and molasses in the background and a touch of cherry cola. Excellent! (January, 2020)
