This Rye whiskey comes from Missouri’s Of The Earth Farm Distillery, and is made using locally grown grain. The nose is aromatic and well-balanced with notes of caramel ice cream topping, brown sugar, honey, and a gentle spiciness. The taste has a smooth texture, but plenty of spiciness with clove, allspice, and white pepper notes that balance well with sweeter caramel and honey notes. The finish is nice and long. Very impressive. (December, 2016)
