Nikka Miyagikyo 1991 Single Cask
Country: Japan
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 62%
Score: 84 Points
The nose is coconut cream pie, marzipan, vanilla wafers, raspberries, and red grapes. The taste is dry, intense, and sharp with red wine tartness, a hint of berries, and coconut that shows through as the tartness fades. Water opens up peach and other tree fruits, and makes this dram less one-dimensional. The finish is slow, tart, dry, and knife-sharp.
