Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey. Image courtesy Nelson's Green Brier Distillery. This is the first bottling of Tennessee Whiskey distilled by the Nelson brothers at their family’s distillery in Nashville, and comes more than 100 years after Prohibition forced their family to close what was Tennessee’s largest distillery at the time. The nose has notes of charred oak, toasted vanilla, honey, and molasses cookies. The taste has a peppery character that builds up nicely with hints of honey and molasses in the background and a subtle citrusy tartness that develops later and lasts through the finish.
