Mortlach 15: Game of Thrones Six Kingdoms Edition. Image courtesy Diageo. The ninth and final release in the Game of Thrones Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection from Diageo, this is a 15-year-old Mortlach matured in first-fill ex-Sherry casks and finished in ex-Bourbon barrels. The nose has notes of cinnamon candies, vanilla, a good maltiness, oak tannins, and a hint of sandalwood. The taste is buttery-smooth with a nice gradual buildup of allspice and cinnamon that’s balanced nicely by honey, barley sugar, and butterscotch. The finish is long with a subtle spiciness.
