Millstone 1996 Virgin Oak Cask #1376. Image courtesy Kensington Wine Market. This 20-year-old virgin American oak cask of Millstone single malt from Zuidam Distillers in The Netherlands was bottled for Canada’s Craftwork Spirits and available exclusively in Alberta. The nose has fruity notes of peaches and apricots, fresh berries, butterscotch, and a hint of spice. The taste is thick, chewy, and mouth-coating with great notes of orange marmalade on toasted bread, coconut, honey, apricots, peaches, and a hint of maltiness. The finish is very long with subtle spices and good fruity touches. (June, 2018)
