Midleton Very Rare 2014 Edition
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Irish Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 40%
Score: 92 Points
The first Midleton Very Rare edition to carry the name of Midleton Master Distiller Brian Nation instead of his predecessor, Barry Crockett.
The nose is grassy with a hint of ginger and allspice, touches of honey, vanilla, and oak in the background. The taste has notes of lemongrass, black pepper, ginger, and allspice balanced by honey, vanilla, and a hint of milk chocolate. The finish is long and slightly tart with subtle spices. Excellent! (December, 2014)
