If you like Maker’s Mark 46, think of this as the amped-up version that goes to 11. The nose has notes of honey and brown sugar, along with a hint of leather, tree fruits, sandalwood, and a slightly herbal character. The taste is spicy with black pepper, allspice, and a hint of cinnamon complemented by honey, brown sugar, black cherries, and a hint of pipe tobacco. The finish is long and spicy with a hint of fruit. (August, 2020)
