Maker's Mark 101 Proof. Image courtesy Maker's Mark. This travel retail exclusive was recently made available at the Maker’s Mark Distillery and a handful of Kentucky retailers (Kentucky state law bans “distillery exclusive” bottlings). The nose is aromatic with caramel candy, toasted oak, honey, and vanilla. The taste starts off smooth with subtle spices that build to a nice peak, with hints of caramel, honey, dark chocolate, and dried fruits in the background. The finish is long, with lingering spices and a slight tartness. (August, 2019)
