Mad River Distillers in Vermont makes this four-grain Bourbon, and the nose is aromatic with a nice balance of subtle spices, honey, charred oak, and a hint of butterscotch. The taste starts off with notes of caramel cola and black pepper at first, and the black pepper sticks around for a while before slowly fading to reveal hints of honey in the finish. (July, 2018)
