Country: Scotland

Region:

Type: Blended Scotch Whisky

Bottler: Adelphi

ABV: 46%

Score: 93 Points

This blended Scotch whisky from Adelphi gets its name from longtime whisky writer Charles Maclean, who consulted on the blend — but also from Maclean’s Nose, a rock formation near Adelphi’s Ardnamurchan Distillery. The nose is grassy and malty with hints of lemon zest and smoked salmon. The taste is well-balanced and complex with subtle spices, barley sugar, a slight touch of broke, lemon zest, and freshly-cut grass clippings. The finish is long and slightly tart. (November, 2023)
