Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Lost Lantern

ABV: 54.9%

Score: 93 Points

Why 9.99? Well, it was bottled one day short of 10 years old by Lost Lantern, which didn’t want to steal Westland’s ability to release its own 10-year-old single malt first. The whiskey is made with heavily peated Scottish malt, and the nose has a gentle smokiness with touches of dried flowers, tree fruits, and honey. The taste has hints of peaty character with a pepperiness that comes alive slowly and notes of honey, peaches, and pears underneath. The finish is long and peppery. Very nice! (January, 2025)
