Lohin McKinnon Single Malt
Country: Canada
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 86 Points
This Canadian single malt comes from Central City Brewing Company in Surrey, British Columbia, where brewmaster Gary Lohin and distiller Stuart McKinnon collaborated on its creation. The nose is malty with a subtle citrus touch of lemon zest, dried flowers, and a hint of linseed oil. The taste is light, floral, and tart at first with a touch of lemon zest followed by a nice burst of cinnamon spiciness, along with dried flowers, vanilla, and butterscotch candies in the background. The finish is long and tart with lemon zest and gently fading cinnamon notes, and turns slightly dry and astringent with dried flowers and hint of butterscotch. (January, 2017)
