Liquid Library Glen Garioch 1992. Image courtesy The Whisky Agency. This 21-year-old bottling of a Glen Garioch single cask by The Whisky Agency takes us back to the days when Glen Garioch’s malts were peated. Not heavily by Islay standards, but still peated. The nose is dusty and fruity with hints of toffee and orange marmalade, while the taste is syrupy-thick and fruity with a good underlying spiciness balanced by a touch of peat smoke. The finish is very long with lingering spices and just enough peat smoke to stand out. Excellent! (November, 2019)
