Ledaig 20 Moscatel Finish. Image courtesy Ledaig/Distell.This whisky spent three years in Moscatel wine casks after originally being matured for 17 years in refill casks. The nose is wine-like with notes of dried fruits, dried flowers, honey, and the typical Ledaig kiss of peat smoke. The taste is sweet and spicy with a good balance of citrus fruits, grilled pineapple, honey, and vanilla. The finish lasts for a while with good fruitiness and a hint of spices. Very nice!
