Lauder’s Sherry Edition Oloroso Cask
Country: Scotland
Region:
Type: Blended Scotch
Bottler: Macduff International
ABV: 40%
Score: 92 Points
This Blended Scotch was first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before blending, and then placed into ex-Oloroso Sherry casks for final maturation. The nose has sherried notes of toffee, raisins, plums, banana pudding, and a slight nuttiness. The taste is creamy and smooth with touches of toffee, mild spices, orange marmalade, Manuka honey, and a hint of berries. The finish is long, smooth, and fruity with touches of caramel candy and chocolate fudge. (May, 2018)
