Larceny Barrel Proof Batch #A120. Image courtesy Heaven Hill Distillery. This is the debut release of Larceny Barrel Proof from Heaven Hill, and is blended from wheated Bourbons six to eight years old. The nose is aromatic with touches of brown sugar, caramel candy, a hint of milk chocolate, muted spices and a touch of oak. The taste is intense, but still well-rounded with touches of black pepper and chili powder complemented nicely by caramel candy, honey, brown sugar, and a hint of milk chocolate. Adding water brings out additional notes of dried flowers and spearmint. The finish is long with a good balance of gently fading spices and sweetness. Very nice! (January, 2020)
