Part of the Classic Malts 2012 Special Releases series, and matured in refill American Oak casks. The nose has a good peatiness with notes of toasted oak, vanilla, molasses, and heather with a hint of honey. The taste starts off rich and buttery before an amazing wave of peat and pepper rolls in that lasts and lasts with subtle honey and vanilla notes in great balance., The finish is medium-length with lingering smoke and peat, and adding a few drops of water makes this dram really smooth.
