Kilchoman 2007 Single Sherry Cask. Image courtesy The Whisky Exchange/Speciality Drinks Ltd.This 10-year-old Kilchoman cask bottled for The Whisky Exchange is one of the oldest Kilchoman releases on record. The nose is rich and complex with classic Islay peat smoke balanced by a fruity sweetness with grilled pineapple, apple pie with cinnamon, honey, vanilla, and toffee notes. The taste is peaty and spicy with a touch of ashiness along with cinnamon, allspice, honey, and toffee. The finish is long and smoky, but not overpowering. Excellent! (August, 2018)
