This 11-year-old rye has an aromatic nose with mild spices, touches of honey, molasses, vanilla, dark fruits, and freshly baked pie crust. The palate explodes with black pepper, cinnamon, clove, and hints of nutmeg and ginger in the background, then honey, vanilla, and a hint of anise come out as the spices begin to fade away slowly. The finish is very long with gently fading cinnamon and clove spices, honey, vanilla, and anise. Outstanding! (September, 2017)
