This Bourbon honors the barrels seized from Kentucky Owl founder C.M. Dedman’s distillery at the start of Prohibition that mysteriously “disappeared” in a warehouse fire. The nose has notes of honey, butterscotch, a hint of charred oak, and a nice touch of spice in the background. The taste has a good spicy kick of black pepper, allspice, and ginger root balanced by honey and butterscotch sweetness. The spices last through a nice long finish with just a hint of honey.
