Kavalan Manzanilla Single Cask
Country: Taiwan
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 57.8%
Score: 93 Points
Depending on where you are located, this may be labeled as a Kavalan “Solist” bottling or not. King Car Group is unable to use the “Solist” name in the US market because of trademark issues, but you’ll see it with that name in other countries.
The nose is fruity and lush with notes of papaya, kiwi fruit, figs, toffee, a hint of allspice, ginger, and caramel candy. The taste is spicy and nutty with roasted almonds, allspice, cinnamon, ginger, and hints of kiwi and figs underneath. The finish is long, warm, and aromatic with gently fading spices and a slightly astringent touch. Excellent! (August, 2017)
