Jura "The Road" Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Jura/Whyte & Mackay. This is part of Jura’s travel retail lineup, and is finished in European Oak casks that originally held Pedro Ximenez Sherry for 20 years. The nose has notes of fig cookies, heather, dried flowers, lemon zest, vanilla, and a slight hint of brininess. The taste is thick and oily with a nice buildup of lemon zest, black pepper, and allspice notes with hints of black tea and honey in the background. The finish is long and tart with a nice lemony character. (November, 2019)
