Jura 18. Image courtesy Jura/Whyte & Mackay. This Jura spends its first 18 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, with a final maturation period in red wine casks. The nose has a hint of smoke, along with toffee, hints of red grapes, and a subtle touch of oak. The taste has a pecan pie nuttiness, along with caramel, hints of clove and cardamom spices, a touch of dark chocolate, and oak. The finish is long and oaky with hints of baking chocolate and honey.
