This Johnnie Walker expression is being test-marketed in Texas, and is billed as a lighter, sweeter version of Johnnie Walker designed to work well in cocktails. However, it stands equally well on its own, with touches of toasted bread, orange marmalade, dried fruits, fresh berries, and hints of butterscotch and caramel on the nose. The taste has subtle spices and a bit of tartness with lemon pepper and a hint of clove, along with a thick, nectar-like fruitiness full of peaches, orange marmalade, and just a touch of caramel. The finish is long and fruity with a hint of spice. (June, 2021)
