Jim Beam Distiller's Cut Bourbon. Image courtesy Beam Suntory. This limited-edition Bourbon has traditionally only been available at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky and a few of the state’s retailers, but has now been released outside of Kentucky for the first time. It’s matured for between five and six years, and the best things about it are that it’s bottled at 50% ABV and it’s not chill-filtered, which leaves more of the flavor inside the bottle. The nose has great notes of honey, vanilla, charred oak, brown sugar, and dark chocolate. The taste is spicy with black pepper, allspice, a hint of lemon pepper tartness, oak, honey, and dark chocolate fudge. The finish is long and slightly dry with honey, brown sugar, and subtle spices.
