This ice cream is made with OYO Whiskey from Middle West Spirits in Columbus, Ohio, and the nose is cold with vanilla, pecans, and a subtle hint of whiskey. The taste has notes of toasted vanilla and a hint of brown sugar, along with a good whiskey flavor that complements the pecans nicely. The finish is creamy and cold, but the whiskey lingers well. There’s a good balance between the whiskey and the ice cream flavors. Excellent! (September, 2017)
