The Tennessee Tasters’ Selection is a limited-edition series of experimental whiskies selected by the Master Tasters at Jack Daniel’s that are only available at the distillery and a handful of Tennessee retailers. Marsha Hale selected a batch of barrels to be finished with charred hickory staves that give the whiskey a barbecue-like character.
The nose is sweet with touches of barbecue sauce, honey, butterscotch, and just a hint of allspice. The taste is sweet and spicy with tangy barbecue sauce, black pepper, allspice and honey notes, while the finish is long and spicy. (January, 2019)
