Image courtesy Jack Daniel's/Brown-Forman.The Tennessee Tasters’ Selection is a limited-edition series of experimental whiskies selected by the Master Tasters at Jack Daniel’s that are only available at the distillery and a handful of Tennessee retailers. Chris Fletcher selected a group of barrels for this batch that had lost more spirit than usual to evaporation, which focused the flavors and aromas more than usual.

The nose is intense and concentrated with caramel, dark chocolate, charred oak, and hints of honey and maple. The taste is very focused and intense with notes of clove, black pepper, caramel, fudge, honey and charred oak. The finish is long-lasting with spices that fade away gradually while sweeter notes drop off more quickly and a hint of roasted vanilla pods comes out as other notes fade. (January, 2019)
