Country: USA

Region: Tennessee

Type: Rye Whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 72.95%

Score: 92 Points

This whiskey comes from the rick houses on Tanyard Hill overlooking the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, and is bottled at barrel proof. My sample was bottled at a whopping 72.95% ABV (145.9 proof), and the nose has touches of cherry cola, dark fruits, baking spices, and a touch of oak. The taste is dry and astringent, with spicy notes of cinnamon, clove, and allspice balanced by mint and dark chocolate. The finish is long with clove, oak, and a hint of tobacco. (October, 2025)
