Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary Edition
Country: USA
Region: Tennessee
Type: Tennessee Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 89 Points
Unlike the standard Jack Daniel’s expressions, this Tennessee whiskey is matured in barrels that have been “slow-toasted” instead of charred. The result is an aromatic, sweet nose with a Heath Bar toffee-like note, butterscotch, mild spices, honey, vanilla, maple syrup, and a touch of oak. The taste starts off thick and sweet with toffee, butterscotch, maple syrup and brown sugar notes followed by spicier black pepper and clove along with a hint of molasses cookies in the background. The finish is long, smooth, and oaky with touches of molasses cookies and lingering spices. Nice. (September, 2016)
