J.P. Wiser’s Union 52
Country: Canada
Region:
Type: Blended Whisky
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 45%
Score: 92 Points
This is a one-of-a-kind whisky bottled exclusively for sale in British Columbia, and blends Wiser’s Red Letter Canadian Whisky with the last remaining batch of a Scotch Whisky blend created in 1964 and stored in a warehouse at the Hiram Walker Distillery in Windsor, Ontario for use in blending.
The nose is sweet and clean with notes of honeycomb, subtle spices, a touch of dried apples, and hints of banana and brown sugar. The taste is spicy with a subtle smokiness and notes of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel candy, brown sugar, dried fruits, and vanilla. The finish lingers nicely with a gentle smoky touch. Excellent!
