J.P. Wiser’s Triple Barrel
Country: Canada
Region:
Type: Canadian Whisky
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 45%
Score: 87 Points
In addition to using three different types of barrels in its maturation, this Wiser’s expression uses a blend of 60% rye whisky blended with wheat whisky from both column and pot stills. The nose is spicy and aromatic with hints of cinnamon, chili peppers, dill, and a touch of linseed oil. The taste is peppery and powerful with cinnamon, chili peppers, linseed oil, and hints of honey and vanilla. The finish is long and slightly flinty with good lingering spices. (June, 2017)
