J.P. Wiser’s 35 2017 Edition
Country: Canada
Region:
Type: Canadian Whisky
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 94 Points
One of the oldest Canadian whiskies ever bottled, and part of Corby’s Northern Border Collection Rare Release series. The nose is complex with notes of clove, allspice, honey, vanilla, and oak. The taste starts off with green apple and spearmint notes, while the spices take over gradually with a nice, slow buildup to intense clove and allspice spiciness with honey, vanilla, and oak adding balance in the background. The finish is extremely long and complex with lingering spices, honey, and vanilla notes. This whisky could redefine Canadian Whisky for any skeptic! (November, 2017)
