This Bourbon is 18 months old and bottled at 59.2% ABV. The nose is aromatic with hints of clove, ginger, and black pepper balanced nicely by honey, vanilla, and a hint of campfire smoke. The taste is smooth and sweet at first as the spices kick in slowly, then take over with cinnamon, black pepper, clove, and ginger notes, while honey, vanilla, and a hint of oak add balance. The finish is long with lingering spices, vanilla, and a touch of oak tannins. (July, 2017)
