Ironclad Missouri Toasted Oak Cask Bourbon
Country: USA
Region: Virginia
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 48%
Score: 87 Points
This whiskey from Virginia’s Ironclad Distillery was finished for five months in lightly toasted Missouri Oak barrels. The nose has notes of toasted rye bread, honey, and brown sugar. The taste has black pepper spiciness and a hint of clove balanced by toasted caramel and brown sugar, while the finish is medium-length with touches of caramel, toasted oak, and lingering spices.
