Inchmoan 12
Country: Scotland
Region: Lowlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 91 Points
Loch Lomond Distillery makes Inchmoan from a unique combination of peated malt distilled in two different types of pot stills, then matures it in a combination of recharred American Oak and refill ex-Bourbon casks. The nose has a gentle peatiness with touches of toasted caramel, heather, gorse, and honey. The taste has a soft smokiness with touches of clove and black pepper balanced by heather, honey, and vanilla. The finish is long with subtle smoke and a lingering pepperiness. Nice! (March, 2020)
