This is the no-age-statement version of I.W. Harper, and the nose is aromatic with notes of honey, oak, vanilla, cocoa beans, hints of allspice and black pepper, and a touch of buttered popcorn. The taste is spicy with black pepper and cinnamon, along with linseed oil, lemon zest, honey, vanilla, and a touch of brown sugar in the background. The finish is dominated by caramel and honey sweetness with lingering spices in the background for a nice, long finish. (March, 2015)
