This is a 15-year-old Canadian whisky sourced by Latitude Beverages from an undisclosed distillery, and it’s a shame the distillery can’t take credit for this excellent whisky. The nose has notes of baking spices, toasted vanilla, caramel, and dark chocolate. The taste has a good balance and intensity with clove, allspice, toasted marshmallows, caramel, oak, and dark chocolate. Adding water is recommended, and helps turn down the intensity on the spices while boosting the chocolate and caramel notes. The finish is long and spicy with a touch of caramel. Very nice!
