Highland Park Yesnaby Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Highland Park. This 2018 release was available to members of Highland Park’s Inner Circle and was part of the distillery’s Keystones Series. It was matured for 13 years in 3 first-fill Sherry-seasoned casks, and the nose has hints of toffee, toasted caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and a hint of burning leaves. The taste has a good balance between sweetness and spices with brown sugar, clove, a hint of chili powder, and a nice touch of peat smoke. The finish is long and well-balanced between sweetness, spice, and smoke. (February, 2021)
