Highland Park Trillium. Image courtesy Highland Park/Edrington.This 12-year-old single cask was bottled exclusively for sale in Ontario through the LCBO, and comes from a refill ex-Sherry butt. The nose has notes of toffee, candied fruits, a hint of crystallized ginger, honey, and a touch of brandy. The cask-strength 61.4% ABV leads to an intense taste with Christmas cake, baking spices, toffee, honey, plums, and raisins. The finish sticks to your tongue for a long time before gently fading away. Wow! (January, 2019)
