Highland Park Ingvar
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 60.5%
Score: 93 Points
This cask-strength Highland Park was bottled exclusively for travel retail sale in Taiwan. The nose is sweet with notes of honey, brown sugar, dried apple chips, crystallized ginger, and is very gentle despite the high strength. The taste is spicy with cinnamon, crystallized ginger, and white pepper notes balanced by honey, red apples, toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of figs in the background. The finish is long, dry, and slightly astringent with touches of lingering spices. Toffee, dried fruits, and honey add a good balance. Excellent! (May, 2017)
