Highland Park Cask Strength Release 5

Highland Park Cask Release No. 1. Image courtesy Highland Park.

Country: Scotland

Region: Highlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 64.7%

Score: 92 Points

The fifth edition of Highland Park’s cask strength single malt is bottled at a whopping 64.7% ABV, but doesn’t taste like it. The nose has touches of dried fruits, subtle spices, dark chocolate, and hints of peat smoke and hazelnut. The taste is peppery and pungent with black pepper, peat smoke, dried fruits, a hint of cinnamon, dark chocolate, and honey. The finish is long, thick, and spicy. Very nice! (July, 2024)
