High West Yippee Ki-Yay 2019 Edition
Country: USA
Region:
Type: Rye Whiskey

Score: 92 Points
This annual release from Utah’s High West Distillery blends their own young rye with older ryes sourced from Indiana and Kentucky and finishes them in a combination of Syrah and Vermouth casks. The nose has notes of cinnamon, chocolate-covered cherries, toasted oak, brown sugar, and a hint of mesquite seasoning. The taste has cinnamon, vanilla, cedar, cherries, and a hint of anise. The finish has a lingering touch of cinnamon along with raspberries and a touch of licorice. (June, 2019)
