High West Campfire Whiskey. Photo ©2016, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media.A truly unique blend of straight Rye and Bourbon whiskies with blended malt Scotch whisky. The nose has notes of oak, allspice, roasted almonds, brown sugar, a hint of clove, and a slight smokiness. The taste has notes of butterscotch, clove, allspice, almonds, brown sugar, linseed oil, and a slight smokiness, but the overall taste is dominated by the spices. The flavor has those lingering spicy notes along with a hint of butterscotch. (December, 2016)
