Country: USA

Region: Utah

Type: Rye Whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 93 Points

While many High West bottlings use whiskies from other distilleries in their blends, this Rye whiskey is 100% High West’s own whiskey made from a mashbill of 80% raw rye and 20% malted rye. The nose has touches of baking spices, citrus fruits, honey, vanilla, and chocolate. The taste is spicy and thick with notes of cinnamon, clove, and cardamom balanced by chocolate and a hint of citrusy tartness. The finish is long with a touch of lime zest and lingering spices. Very nice! (July, 2024)
