Hazelburn 12
Country: Scotland
Region: Campbeltown
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 89 Points
This is Springbank’s unpeated, triple-distilled single malt that comes as a change of pace to the distillery’s more traditional Campbeltown malts. The nose is aromatic and slightly briny, light, clean, and malty with a nice oakiness and touches of roasted almonds, figs, and raisins. The taste is chewy and spicy with orange, cinnamon, dark chocolate, caramel candy, and hints of figs and raisins. The finish is long and spicy with lingering cinnamon and a hint of briny wet sand.
