Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Gordon & MacPhail

ABV: 58.4%

Score: 92 Points

Gordon & MacPhail uses the Speymalt designation for its bottlings of Macallan single malt, and this release has touches of licorice and caramel candy on the nose, along with dark chocolate fudge and a hint of linseed oil. The taste is thick and mouth-coating with an excellent balance of white pepper spice and notes of caramel, dark chocolate fudge, and orange zest. The finish is long and spicy with a touch of charred oak. Very nice! (January, 2024)
