Gordon & MacPhail Miltonduff 10. Image courtesy Gordon & MacPhail. This is one of the few ways to taste single malt from the Chivas Brothers-owned Miltonduff Distillery in Speyside, which is rarely available as an official distillery bottling. The nose is fruity and floral with fresh berries, peaches, pears, vanilla, dried flowers, and a touch of honey. The taste combines citrusy tartness with a nice pepperiness, balancing lemon zest and orange peel notes against black pepper with hints of honey and dried flowers in the background to pull it all together. The finish is long and peppery with an underlying citrusy tartness. (November, 2016)
